NASA launches new Mars mission on Monday

Washington – The North American Space Agency, NASA will launch a new mission to Mars, even in November, which should reach the destination in September 2014.

The beginning of the new NASA mission to the ‘Red Planet’ is scheduled for next Monday, November 18, when it will launch the Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution (MAVEN, photo), the from the Air Force Station in Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA.

This project, valued at 671 million dollars (about 498 million), consisting of in-depth study of the atmosphere of Mars , intending to ascertain the reasons for its demise.

According to the research that has been carried out by the robot ‘Curiosity’ in the same agency, the planet will have contained large amounts of liquid water, a fact made possible by the dense atmosphere that had.

Astronomers expect with this mission, understand the cause of the disappearance of the Martian atmosphere, which so far has been attributed to solar winds.
