Thermometers will re-download - The Associated Press

Temperatures will fall in the coming days and the National Civil Protection Authority recommends caution to the population.

According to the forecast of the Portuguese Institute of Ocean and Atmosphere, thermometers go down especially at night, especially on Sunday. That day are expected to temperatures close to zero or even negative within North and Central. On the coast too cold will be felt, with minimum of one degree Celsius in Setúbal on Sunday, two in Port three in Santarém, four out of six in Lisbon and Coimbra.

National Civil Protection Authority released this Friday more alert cold, with several recommendations. The formation of ice on the road and the risk of intoxication by braziers and fireplaces indoors are among the concerns of Civil Protection.

Portugal has been since mid-November with clean and cold weather, due to a center of high atmospheric pressure – an anticyclone – parked on Europe and that is to bring very dry air to the Iberian Peninsula. The same atmospheric conditions should be maintained at least until December 10, Tuesday.
